This place is AMAZING. The service is 10/10 the food was 12/10, the drinks were great. Such a great and friendly vibe in here. We came here for an anniversary dinner and had such a special and amazing dinner. Our waitress, Naida, was so friendly and made us feel so welcome, helped us with the menu, and didn't make us feel rushed at all. If you're looking for a delicious Italian restaurant on the island this is the pl... View all feedback.
What Julia Sica doesn't like about Salvatore’s Italiano:
honestly let me save you the trip. the food was like eating boxed mac n cheese and the waitress was rude. never offered us more water or a refill and was angry went we sent something View all feedback.
After a long journey from New York, we were looking forward to a feast at the islands highest rated restaurant. Salvatore’s was busy so we were seated at an outdoor table with paper napkins, but was greeted by a lovely waitress who provided menus. What met us was pasta at an average price of $35. This is more than any pasta at any Michelin rated restaurant I have ever seen even the ones in New York do not have the audacity of charging more than $30 for a plate of pasta.Although the obscene prices left a bad taste in our mouths, decided to stay and order. When ordering the special Lobster Ravioli $30) we were informed this was an appetizer and that an entré size was $50. We still ordered and looked forward to our food and wine. However, after taking the first bite, there was nothing more to say than that I was beyond disappointed. I had been served boxed, dried spaghetti with jarred sauce, two basil leaves, and a ball of low quality burrata for $30.In short, you get Olive Garden quality food at Michelin prices. If I were you, I would grab some higher quality ingredients at stop and shop and enjoy the meal at home instead.
Phenomenal service and best of all the pasta. One could tell the presentation of each dish was special.
We loved dinner here, definitely one of the better options on the entire island in my opinion. I wasn’t a big fan of the calamari, but everything else was amazing. The pasta is notably fresh and there are options for all tastes. With all of the just meh trendy spots around here, this totally is a dining rotation staple.
The food is outstanding as is the service. This was some of the best Italian food my wife and I have had. We did not expect to find such great Italian food on Martha’s Vineyard.
Food was ok. Service was terrible. Not worth the $250-$300. Save your money and go somewhere else.
