The place has a nice vibe and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. However, my spicy chicken sandwich did not wow me. It was more about the bun, pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce. The produce and bun overwhelmed the chicken so that I could barely taste it. I also ordered a side of green beans which tasted like it was from a can. It wasmushy and way too salty. The only thing that was a plus was that my food was piping hot. Because this may have been a fluke, Iplan to give Vegans Are Us another shot. Then I 'll decide if I will recommend this place.

We were on our way out of AC this morning. As I went to get our car, I asked my gf to look up a place for breakfast nearby, expecting her to just look for a typical bagel joint I am 90% vegan but she is an omnivore . She decided to see if therehappened to be any places for me, instead of just a typical bagel shop ?????????? , and found Vegans Are Us only a few blocksaway. She ordered Avocado Toast and I got the Breakfast Burrito w bacon and a side of Home-fries. We were both beyond happy withwhat we got. I did not expect to be eating something so delicious for breakfast, when I woke up this morning. The Burrito andAvocado toast would have been enough to fill us both, but we were both glad to have the delicious home-fries to pack in. And tothe guy who posted a picture of his home-fries calling them ‘burnt’… I’m sorry, but if your home-fries don’t look likethat, then you aren’t eating real home-fries. What you want is ‘roasted potatoes’ not home-fries, because that picture isexactly what proper home-fries should look like . Anyway, we were stuffed and happy when we left our vacation in AC. So, thankyou “Vegans Are Us- With a Touch of Soul” for making our morning departure wonderful. I only wish there was a location up inBergen County, so I could try the many other options! ??

Over priced, inconsistent service and poorly prepared greasy food. Been here a few times trying to give this place a chance but I come away always leaving disappointed. Food is always over priced charging $8-$13 for sandwiches sopping with grease and fullof salt. Second time I've been here and I've had my food burnt (pic attached)... Either that or they cook on a dirty flat top.Whenever I order stuff I feel like I'm always rolling the dice. Some stuff can be tasty when they put the effort in but somedays you can tell they don't really wanna be there.

I mean what more can i ask for. they are so friendly. less so like an overly nice salesperson, more so like a genuinely nice caring person. the guy in the front and the cook both. they helped me for a hot minute to navigate through my food allergies andwhat i can eat on the menu. then cooked it on a separate area from where they cook things i’m allergic to. i bit into theearth burger and ohhhhh my god. i love this place. if i didn’t live 900 miles away, i would be a regular.

On a positive note, I do enjoy their breakfast offerings. Their French toast, cheesy omelets, and breakfast potatoes are delicious. As a vegan, it can be challenging to find tasty breakfast options while dining out, so I appreciate their offerings. My non-vegan friends and family particularly enjoy the French toast, crispy chicken sandwich, and cornbread. Additionally, their cakes, cupcakes, and cookies are quite tasty. However, the majority of the menu consists of store-bought substitutes, as mentioned by another reviewer. These items are marked up significantly and lack originality. I used to occasionally stop by for their chicken sandwich, but I now prefer to make my own at home using store-bought patties at a fraction of the cost. The food at this restaurant is often greasy and inconsistently prepared. The breakfast potatoes, for example, have varied in flavor and texture each time I have ordered them. Additionally, there have been instances where my orders were incorrect or missing items upon pickup. The staff can be rude over the phone and in-person, and I have even witnessed a younger employee yelling at customers waiting for their orders. It seems that the staff, both in and out of the kitchen, are not properly trained, leading to inconsistencies in service. I hope that this establishment receives better management and training in the future to improve the overall experience for customers. I would hate to see them fail like other businesses on Landis Avenue.
