What User doesn't like about Eastern Port Yum Cha:
Slow service and we had to get the waitresses attention to order at first.Food wasn't anything special but we didn't get food poisoning so that's a bonus. Sweltering heat inside with the air con not working so not the best atmosphere to dine on a 38 degree day.Not awful but nothing to write home about. View all feedback.

Visiting Mackay on business for a couple of nights. Went for a look at Caneland Central when I spotted the place. So good I went back the next night. Roti was great. Curry Chicken and Red Chicken was delicious too. Can't really comment much about the ambience as it was early in the week and early in the evening when I was there, so the place was quiet. Felt warm and welcoming though. Clean and tidy and good service. Glad I am not a local because I would be there all the time.
We recently enjoyed a delicious yum cha meal with friends at a restaurant in Mackay that we hadn't visited in a while. It was wonderful to see that Sam and the team were still serving top-quality food. The staff were attentive and remembered our favorite dishes from previous visits. The restaurant is conveniently located in the town center with plenty of parking and excellent service.
I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance after my plans to meet others at a nearby restaurant fell through. I decided to stay and ordered Chinese tea, water, fish with ginger and shallots, and steamed rice. The food was delicious, especially the sauce on the fish which was darker and thicker than I've experienced before. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. The only downside was having to flag down someone to clear my plates. When I asked for the table to be cleared, the woman misunderstood and brought me containers for my leftovers instead. I simply wanted my plates to be taken away.
Located on the riverside entrance of the canelands shopping centre is this fantastic Asian restaurant, great for lunch or dinner with value for money servings and a great variety of different things to eat. We quite often go for the buffet dinner and ad yet have never been able to eat all that they serve, the staff are friendly and the establishment is well worth the visit.
