A historic and timeless place. The menu is truly varied and caters to all tastes, including the incredibly thin and light pizza topped with quality ingredients.
Excellent food, very friendly staff, good prices, and a very attractive location. In short, it has it all : You have to try it, come back again and again!
So let's start with the positive aspects, a very nice, very welcoming environment with a low noise level, excellent I would say, then impeccable service, the waiter despite no longer being very young, quick and precise!! Compliments. The desserts are definitely amazing, at least the homemade ones. Now let's get to the sore point, the PIZZAS. I won't go into whether you like the thin pizza or not, that's subjective (personally I don't like the wafer with mozzarella on it), but the quality-price ratio is definitely disproportionate. For example, I had the Bronte and Bologna (see photo) and honestly €16 for the Bologna from the discount store with no flavor, to be clear the Bolognetta, the 7cm one, and the tasteless stracciatella. At that price I would have expected at least the Rovagnati Gold Bologna and the stracciatella from Andria. Then gentlemen, €10 for a Margherita, you decide!
We had dinner last night at Marinara Ristorante in Vimercate and it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with great kindness, with special attention paid to my dog—a detail that's not always obvious and much appreciated. The location is modern, elegant, and well-maintained, with a pleasant atmosphere. The menu is well-structured, with interesting, high-quality options. I chose the Franciacorta risotto with scampi tartare and burnt lemon, an exquisite dish, delicate yet rich in flavor, perfectly balanced. Next up was the fried seafood platter, truly excellent: dry, crispy, and made with the freshest fish. To round out the dinner, a homemade pistachio cheesecake, moist and incredibly delicious—the perfect finale.
I've known this welcoming restaurant/pizzeria for years, offering a decidedly extensive menu and good value. It has a wine list worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant. But I personally experienced something I'd never noticed: the owners and their staff's dedication to meeting their customers' expectations. This level of attention is far from a given in the restaurant industry.
