Db Deli - Village of Wurtsboro

I'm giving this place one star because it never seems to be open. If you want a breakfast sandwich don't count on it if you want a hero on a Saturday afternoon they prob aren't open . This review may change if they start being more consistent with their operating hours .

I can't recommend a place that hasn't been open for a couple of years. They closed long before the pandemic in 2020, and MT Plate has since taken over that location. MT Plate was a fantastic deli until they had to relocate to Rock Hill.

New management place is finally open and provides good service. Place looks a lot cleaner and hours are much better. Will come again.

I frequently stop here for lunch, and the food is fantastic! The staff is extremely friendly, too. It's also very convenient because they sell laundry detergent and other household items I might need. Instead of making a trip to Walmart, I can find what I need here along with a delicious hot lunch!

The cleanliness left much to be desired, and the service was just average. However, the main problem was that they appeared to be offering more dishes than they could execute well. I ordered a chicken parmesan sub, but the sauce had seeped into the breading of the chicken, and it was clearly reheated instead of freshly cooked. The cheese on a cold roll was barely melted, and the bread wasn't toasted. It felt more like leftovers than the gooey, saucy chicken parm I was expecting. My husband ordered a gyro, but the wrap was cold and not very appealing. The meat tasted like it had been pulled straight from the freezer. There was an overwhelming amount of sauce, and the tomato chunks were too large to eat comfortably. They have Boar's Head meats available, so they should consider offering cold sandwiches and maybe bacon as a topping instead of hot sandwiches. Additionally, our meals were served extremely far apart; we might have been more forgiving if our dishes had been delayed for toasting in the oven, but that wasn’t the case. We won’t be returning.
