Holydog - City of Middletown

Without a doubt, the BEST hot dogs I've ever had! I had a tough time deciding which hot dog to order, so I ended up trying several. I went with the Chicago dog, the bacon and cheese dog, and the Chino dog. The Chicago dog was their unique take on a classic, and it exceeded my expectations. The flat-grilled dogs really enhance the flavors. I thought the bacon chili cheese dog would be pretty standard, but it was anything but. The bacon was crispy and the chili and cheese were fresh and flavorful—a delightful upgrade from the gas station hot dogs I’m used to. My favorite of the three was definitely the Chino dog. I didn’t spot it on the main menu, but there was another small menu right behind you as you walk in. Be sure to stop by this charming local spot for a delicious, hearty, and affordably priced lunch!

This is a small, local establishment with no indoor seating. They only accept cash. The hot dogs were fantastic! I tried the Southwestern dog while my wife had the Kielbasa. Both were delicious, although the Kielbasa was noticeably larger than the hot dog. We also shared an order of Southwestern Cheese Fries, which were very tasty. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit!

Try the Owner's Namesake the Chino Dog for a little Latin Spice. The Girlfriend Treatment's chili, onion pepper, cheese, pico De Gallo cilantro and Chipolte Mayo will have you FALLING IN LOVE! The French Kielbasa with sauteed thin sliced apples, onions and melted Brie will take you to Parisian Sidewalk Cafe. The Polish Hawaiian with tangy Pineapple and mustard seed zing. Even the char grilling of the Classic Dogs give every frank a smokey charm. Don't miss out on the Heavenly Tastes Chino Serves up at HOLY DOG.

As for the meats, the hot dogs have a delightful snap, the sausages are delicious, and the hand-packed burgers are perfectly seasoned without being too dense. The condiments are fantastic too, featuring slow-grilled onions for the dogs and burgers—none of that jarred stuff here! We were so engrossed in enjoying the food that we almost forgot to take pictures. We even got some hot dogs and sausages to go, which reheated beautifully over the next couple of days. And I can’t forget to mention the wonderful chef, who is not only skilled but also very personable and funny. Even though it’s a good hour and a half drive from our home, the trip is absolutely worth it!
