Sunrise Diner - Village of Speculator

This USED to be a good place for breakfast. I ordered an omelet that included spinach. After 10 minutes the server told me they didn't have any spinach. She also said when they come in every day they never know what they are out of. Hello! You are running a restaurant... that's your job to have ingredients stocked! The onions and peppers in my omelet weren't cooked but just thrown in raw. The home fries were soggy and greasy. My husband ordered eggs over easy and they were overcooked and hard. We are local summer people and won't be back unless something radically changes. The bill was over $30 and definitely not even worth half that price!

Got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Asked for the bacon to be crispy. The bacon was squishy and rubbery so I took it off the sandwich and just ate the egg and cheese which was disappointing. My friend also got a breakfast sandwich and it had a hair on it.

Good burger and good service. Will be going back soon.

We always get great service and a consistently good breakfast or lunch. For such a small town, this is a gem. She runs a great little place, has good prices, and really cares about the locals, weekenders, seasonal customers, and tourists passing through. It's a tough job trying to please all of those customers, so thanks for being able to balance all that and still provide a reliable place for all of us. Keep doing what you're doing!
