Scenic Root - Village of Manlius

Went upstate from the Hudson Valley to visit my Aunt for the day. Such a pretty place. I'm sure it is even prettier in the warmer weather with the swan pond and outdoor patio. Food and service where fantastic. I had the hamburger with goat cheese and frizzle onion straws. Burger was cooked perfect. Very cozy place. Worth the 3hr trip!!!

I really enjoyed eating at this restaurant. The food was really good and the prices were reasonable. Add that to a clean cozy atmosphere and a friendly staff, what more does a person need? Very nice place

We are in from out of town with family (we live in Paris France and just had the most wonderful dinner at Scenic Root. From the moment we arrived it was a warm and welcoming experience. We started with delicious margaritas and Apérol spritz with an assortment of appetizers of fried calamari fried pickles pork dumplings small clams greens and sausage ALL were divine! We were a lively group of 10 and never had to wait long for drinks food or water really sweet, professional and exceptional wait staff! Our entrées were varied from the coconut shrimp curry (yum! skirt steak pork tenderloin and the burger. Portions are large and we brought what we couldn’t finish home. Everyone was thrilled with their food, which is a HUGE feat as we are picky discerning food people! The chef even came out to say hello knowing how happy we were with everything. We highly recommend Scenic Root and will be sure to come back when we are in town. BRAVO!

This place is the total package! The restaurant is gorgeous and so warm and welcoming. We sat in the heated enclosed patio that overlooked the swan pond which my kids loved! We started with the fried calamari and shrimp agro dolce and French onion soup which were absolutely amazing! The breading on the calamari was delicious! The shrimp agro dolce was beautifully plated and tasted even better and the French onion soup was full of flavor! I had the pappardelle Esposito which was probably one of the best things I've ever eaten and very filling! We ended our meal sharing a piece of the chocolate cake which was out of this world! The wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Awesome experience all around!

This was my first visit to Scenic Root and I was very impressed. From the friendliness of the staff to the quality of the food, it was an excellent experience all around. My wife and were there celebrating a special occasion and it was a perfect meal to celebrate with. Thank you to all the staff, and in particular our server Tiffany, for doing an outstanding job!
