I lived in SD, OC LA counties for most of my adult life and obviously I spent a lot of time in Baja. So I have had my share of excellent Mexican food. I have found a few places in the CT/NY area that are good, but none come anywhere near as good as this place! What Justin Case doesn't like about La Patrona Mexican:
Descent food with little to no atmosphere. Just ate here on a Saturday night and I was one of two parties in the entire restaurant. I ordered a modelo, it was flat. It was like they open beers before service or something. I ordered a jarrito instead, also somewhat flat. The salsas were good and the chips were fine. I loved it. Try the birria tacos. I also ordered the stuffed jalapenos. (I burned myself. They were piping hot) The shrimp cocktail was spectacular. The ranchero steak and enchilada were perfect. We had a great Mother's Day. The place was busy but the service was fast. We finished with something light for dessert...churros and flan. Kid-friendliness: Family place. We’ve ordered delivery and dined in multiple times and food is always delicious! I love the torta de pollo (grilled chicken sandwich with lots of seasoning, guac, beans, jalapeño, etc)
Ordered the Birria tacos and it was amazing. The meat was very tender and juicy with a ton of flavor and the consume broth had a lot of flavor as well. I highly recommend this place. the only downside was that it’s very empty but it really shouldn’t be. Please come here and get something the food is amazing, just be prepared to speak some spanish :
Best Mexican restaurant in Brewster. Beats Las Mananitas for quality of food, taste, service and beverages.
Wow, I wasn't expecting such authentic and delicious food from a Putnam/Westchester county Mexican restaurant!Highly recommend!
