I came in before work, very much in need of a good coffee and they sure provided exactly that. I ordered an iced caramel latte and I was so pleased. Although the coffee is the main selling point, the first step you take inside you’re overcome by good vibes. From the astounding artwork hugging the walls all the way to the mellow music playing this place is all around a must go!!! The owner greeted me kindly upon my entrance and gave me a list of all the delicious iced drinks I should consider while I place my order. He then explained to me all the wonderful events they hosted before COVID. Man, I sure wish I came out here when they had the Plain White Tees playing outside and for the car shows they’d host here as well. This is a fine establishment with delicious coffee and an amazing management. I would recommend this place for anyone in the area or anyone who is willing to make the drive for a delicious cup of coffee.

Funky Java not only serves great coffee, but they also constantly support and encourage members of their community. It is a great space to relax, study, or get together with a group of friends. The owner and barista is always giving his customers the best experience, it is impossible to not smile in this establishment. Thank you Funky Java for making the small town of Villa Park a happier place.

I ev... read more Larry, the owner, makes you feel like you've known him for decades, which is a rare quality these days. I can’t praise him, the coffee, or the shop enough. I even signed my name in Arabic on his statue—it’s part of a fun tradition, not the Arabic itself. They also host live music events. Everything about this place is just so cool. Go, Larry!

You can ev... read more The coffee here is fantastic, and the staff are patient and attentive when it comes to food allergies. The ambiance of the place is really enjoyable. You can even have a vegan pumpkin spice latte! I was pleasantly surprised to find live music on a Monday evening. I'm really excited about this new addition to the neighborhood!
