Clean and friendly. Service was great. Selection of local wines to compliment the menu was superb. Lovely village to explore with historic spots. No better way to end a tour with some local wine, great food and wine.
Having not visited since the pandemic , we were pleased to see that La Vinya had been able to survive lockdown. Also that our only criticism from before had been rectified in that there was a much increased choice on the menu. Still there were our favorites like deep fried aubergine strips with molasses dip and the croquettes with a variety of fillings. Then there was the great selection of main dishes. Our group had chicken skewers , lasagne and duck breast. My monkfish and prawn cannelloni was excellent followed by a superb chocolate cake dessert Wine selection was impressive Well done Miguel Ángel and the team. We will be back soon
We ate here last Saturday although we couldn’t find it on TripAdvisor, that is because it changed its name. We went there as there was no other restaurant available. No longer called la Vinya but Vin i Tapas. Still food is very okay, as is the wine. Friendly service as well.
MiguelAngel is a generous and talented chef. One of the two best meals I have eaten in Spain so far. Each dish was exquisitely crafted with the freshest ingredients and beautiful flavours. Small and unpretentious, it’s worth visiting Vilafamés and staying a night just for the dinner. We walked up to the Castell at around 6pm which was amazing, had drinks at the local bar nibbling some olives and the crunchy pork cracking the locals love, and watched the friendly locals do their thing.
