Pizzaria Restaurante Dom Gancho

Amazing staff, great food, quite cheap for the quality. If I had to pay double the price to eat here I would. Never left a food review before but this restaurant is just something else. If you re feeling like you should come here, pack your things right now and come.

I had been there in 2018 and thought it was very good. However, when I came back in 2019/september, I could hardly recognize the place. service was bad, food was merely OK. I was informed they no longer served Codfish, which I had eaten on previous occasions, so it is just another pizza place, nothing special. Save your money.

Great service and food. The pizza is amazing. Portions were good size. Very nice and friendly staff.

Stop at #10 on the blue line of the Hop on/Hop off bus route and make your way by foot to this lovely restaurant off the tourist path. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal as well as the service! We tried the Gancho pizza + one other I have forgotten the name of but that Antonio recommended, the pasta bolognese, the caprese salad, and tiramisu for dessert. All was wonderful! We left very full! :) We thoroughly enjoyed our stop before continuing with the rest of the bus loop. Thanks Antonio!

We were looking for a taste from home and came across this gem. Fresh ingredients. Perfect portions and a fantastic wine list. Antonio was wonderful and recommend a couple of his favourites and we went from there. Do go!
