Contribute FeedbackA gem in a largely residential area. Karen and Luis couldn't have done more to help 15 middle aged Brits staying in AirBnBs next door. Even opened on Sunday for breakfast when usually closed. Provided a memorable dinner with locally sourced goat, cooked to Luis' Granny's recipe, as the centre piece. Recommended.
A traditional Portuguese restaurant offering a variety of local dishes. The couple that run this hidden gem are so very friendly and helpful. They serve a large repertoire of dishes, and have a good enough command of english to inform you of how the dish is prepared and even where the ingredients where sourced. They have a range of good wines and I look forward to eating here again during my stay in Porto and I will be sampling some more of those wines.
PROS Decoration: Recently refurbished and redecorated, specially the upper room have a great view over the river and Porto city. Menu variety: Beside italian specialities, the menu includes other western option from meat to fish options. Also some own versions of the tradition dish from Porto francesinha . Service/staff: efficient and helpfull without being annoying by zeal excess. Price value: affordable, ussualy prices lower than 10€ per dish, but good quality dishes. CONS Location: this is maybe the downpoint, is not easy to get there, only if you have satnav or you know very well the area. The car park near to the restaurant is free but you have to walk down the street over 200mts. No option to park closer due to be a narrow street. DO I WILL RETURN? definitely I will
