The sec... read more We stayed at the montemezzi hotel for three nights whilst on a short break to visit Verona and lake Garda. On our first night the restaurant was closed. The second night we visited a nearby pizza place frequented by locals. The meal here was nothing special. But on our last night we pushed the boat out and had a meal in the hotel restaurant. It was very busy with a large party but the service was excellent and so was the food. We enjoyed the meal immensely although the Italian courses take some getting used to! Our recommended wine complimented the meal perfectly. Although we were staying in the hotel and could have booked a table at the reception we tried booking on line with Thefork, offering a 50% discount. Brilliant, the best meal we had during our break and a bargain to boot. Definitely recommended.

The pasta dish we had was... read more We had dinner here with a group of colleagues and I wasn 't expecting much from a hotel restaurant. We were very pleasantly surprised. The pasta dish we had was excellent (carbonara di mare) and the salmon dish was very delicate and tasty. We also really enjoyed the 'tortina al cioccolato ' which we requested with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We also ate a buffet lunch the following day there and everything was very good.

Would have been acceptable if the portions were decent, but the pasta was served in a small kiddie bowl. Overpriced and non tasting. The only highlight was the pleasant Peruvian waiter.
