(Note: I was there in March 2014) excellent food and service, authentic Chinese dishes and excellent location and prices. our group of 15 was well received, and around 2130! I'd eat it again. the critique that criticized the speech is enigmatic for me; the waiter spoke English well and did not communicate with any problem to American students.
What Dee Hand doesn't like about Mandarin:
Do not recommend this restaurant to any Chinese food lovers! Please don't think of going- major disappointment. The fish with vegetables was the worst and they don't even care about the quality of it, they make you pay for the food you didn't like or eat either. Never seen fish like this before! The chinese vegetables dish was also so bland, had no flavour no spice nothing at all. Such unwelcoming staff and majorly u... View all feedback.

Authentic Chinese food and atmosphere. Restaurant is run by a Chinese family. We will definitely come back when we are in town again!
The service and the food here was terrible. Fine if you've been away from Chinese food for a long time and just need some rice, but definitely nothing authentic or particularly good.
Be careful! Possible deceiving/dishonest restaurant? There is a set/combo menu. The set menu includes a bowl of soup, Crispy Duck, Sweet Sour Pork, and Chicken with Vegetables (written in Chinese) for 18 Euros. The food was served, there were only two items, the chicken and the pork, plus the soup, but no duck. The portions for pork and chicken are about a half of regular dish. We thought the duck would come later, but it never came. When asked the owner said that it was a misprint on the menu (there should be no duck for the set menu), but she conveniently forgot to mention it when we ordered. If she knew it was a misprint, why it wasn't covered it up or scratch it out from the menu? Two regular dishes would be about the same price as the combo; but double the food. Deceiving/dishonest tactic? We suspected that the owner knew exactly what she was doing, and she was just hoping we did not notice the discrepancy.
We are catonese and found this restaurant very well. no msg recognized. authentic and appropriate. The suppe is great, the duck is okay, and both veggie dishes are great. a great authentic Chinese selection for traveling
