They know where to go so don't look for any signs. Elevator to fifth floor and around a corner you're there. A simple cafeteria line, menu board written above a window. All German, no English speaking behind the counter but it's cool. We just picked rolled the dice. We choose vegetarian and didn't know. You can eat indoor but why. We stepped outside to this magnificent view of the rathous, and the surrounding area. A wraparound dining spot. Views on three sides. All by ourselves. Our private rooftop dining room. It was one of my favorite moments in vienna. We had two courses. a very tasty soup and lentil with dumpling. The lentils were garlicky and perfect. The dumpling soft but not falling apart a great foil for the garlic flavor. A short walk to the museum of natural history. Do not miss this private, not too well visited, great view. Even if you just get a soda. Just go
