The setting is very quaint and peaceful and the small indoor seating areaIs in what look like a very large old kitchen.The service was great as was the food.A great first meal in Vienna.

Know the local, wonderful location, rather mediocre eating, herb operation...but actually perfect for a late summer day. but my experience today was the last co... read more Know the local, wonderful location, rather mediocre eating, herb operation...but actually perfect for a late summer day. but my experience today was the last contact with this etablissement. tried to book by phone, after a mere confirmation I was told that only cash would be accepted (real...today????) and that dog was banned. that I didn't think that because of my 10 weeks old weeps nicely, I said the wetin, where she told me that she didn't accept the reservation, she had enough guests anyway, I could look by if a table was free....tu I do that? Of course not and never again...this kind of thing is not going!

My friend celebrated her birthday yesterday in a fine whim. they had originally reserved a table for 7 people, but came 4 people, of whom 3 have eaten (small po... read more My friend celebrated her birthday yesterday in a fine whim. they had originally reserved a table for 7 people, but came 4 people, of whom 3 have eaten (small portions, overpriced and nothing special, at least my food) but we all drank for it! my friend had prepared muffins and wanted us to taste (our noticed that other guests also had a cake brought together). At this moment, the owner in Rumpelstilzchen-Manier falls on us - insults my friend, what that is supposed to be, they serve a table for 7 people and only 4 are up and these eat not enough (invisible) so that the drama finds its perfect conclusion, then also the muffins. at the end he had no more under control, became quite aggressive and went on to the muffins (the good man probably had hunger.) from this he then came off, as he probably saw that he finally made himself full of idiots. if they want to have a greedy and power-owner prescribes what and how much they have eaten in his restaurant to be treated humanly and hospitable, they are right at the flein.

I am here to eat occasionally, there are usually 2 day-trials and a few others to eat. the quality is good, the portions usually rather modest. the gast garden... read more I am here to eat occasionally, there are usually 2 day-trials and a few others to eat. the quality is good, the portions usually rather modest. the gast garden is really nice to sit, inside it has more canteen flair. the service is sometimes unfriendly, sometimes friendly. what is somewhat inconvenient in times like this: he is only accepted cash- and no dogs are tolerated (which I personally find good!)
