A lot of hype due to a friend reading about this in some hipster magazine. The food was good, but on par with most of the places that we ate that served the same thing. Definitely a mixture of locals and some tourists like ourselves. The service was also OK, one guy seemed annoyed they were busy. The other issue is they only accept cash. I would not return to this place next time I am in Vienna.Oddity - The graffiti on the bathroom wall was entertaining.

To be honest, the Austrian kitchen bores me but once in a while, I really wish for a Wiener Schnitzel, that thin peace of juicy meat covered in a crispy coat of breadcrumbs. But even in the "birthplace" of the Wiener Schnitzel (which basically isn't a fact at all cause the Wiener Schnitzel was born in Milan) it's hard to find a perfect piece of meat. That's the point where Anzengruber came into my world.Great SchnitzelNice Budweiser beer (not that kinda water from the US, we are talking about the Czech crown of brewery) and even Leffe. If you are not into beer, taste the Austrian or Croatian wines and enjoy artists, politicians and journalists sitting, chatting and enjoying their meal. You won't regret paying a visit to this Viennese "Beisl"
