Besides the look of this place... the food is exceptional. Feels like I'm sitting in Bali eating great Indonesian! I've had the laksa and Nadi Gorgeng and just wow! View all feedback.
What Olaf Schamberger doesn't like about Kedai:
Look, if you are looking for authentic Indonesian food in Perth, Tasik in Northbridge is the place (although the price tags may put you off). I am an avid bakso (meat balls) fan and Kedai absolutely cannot cook it. A bit sad. The 'bakso campur' (meat balls + tofu+ vegetables) is less delicious than Indomie and the broth does not taste like bakso broth. Actually they just need to browse the internet to find the recipe... Don't be deceive by the simple set-up of this restaurant as they serve one of the most authentic and delicious Indonesian cuisine. I love their Nasi Goreng Kampung - awesome taste reminding me of back home. I love coming back here just for their Nasi Goreng. Sometimes I alternate with Nasi Goreng Cakalang which is equally taste and authentic to local Indonesian flavor. They also serve many other local cuisine such as gado-gado and bakso. Price is really good for the portion you get. Their staff is also very friendly and polite.
Good Indonesian food, best fried iga rica in Perth. The only downside, very small in portion when it comes with meat. Wish they give more meat.
Yummy Indonesian food! Nasi goreng cakalang & chicken mushrooms noodles are my favorites. Love the deep fried fish cake too! Price range around $10-15, happy tummy :)
Why didn't we visit this restaurant earlier? They did really well and dishes were authentic. We had Gado", Soto Ayam & Rujak Mie. We loved them all, delightful! It's been a while since I ate Soto Ayam (clear version) and I was so happy to eat a really good one tonight. I was expecting thirst after meal from MSG, but nope at all (bonus point)! Service was alright. Nothing wow about the venue, standard. But KEI is now one of restaurants we'll visit often. Can't wait to try other dishes next time.
