We always go to this place when in Victoria, they've had new owners recently and the place has changed, it's cleaner but the food is still the same. Its quite a busy place but we always get served quickly. The food is very tasty and the pricing is priced so you get more than what you pay for. We usually have a 3 item combo each and it's always tasting fresh and delicious...we highly recommend this place if you are ok... View all feedback.
What Tanya Fisher doesn't like about Wah Lai Yuen Restaurant:
Seriously, don't visit this place. Much too expensive for what you get and totally tasteless. Hubby's sweet sour pork with rice came from the can (or at least that's how it tasted) and my Shanghai noodles were just tons thicker... Noodles with a little spicy sauce and you dig for shredded pork. Seriously not impressed. And throughout the time, the employees cried together. Spend your money elsewhere. View all feedback.

Just ok__I wouldn't give it any more stars and lucky for 3 because the BBQ pork was good.
Wah Lai Yuen a traditional place tucked away in the small Chinatown of Victoria service was good too.__The great things about this place is the
This Chinese restaurant can get really busy. We had dinner here and the food was OK. The baked pork rice we ordered was quite salty but the stir fry noodles was OK. Compared to Chinese food in Toronto this was passable.
Excellent service and the best Combination Dinner I have ever had. The sweet n sour pork was wonderful! Price was very reasonable too!
