Pretty good chicken at reasonable prices, but the waitress and the owner seem flustered with small orders and often seem to be frustrated. I once saw the owner protest because a woman ordered 2 or 3 orders of wings. He kept trying to explain to her how long that was going to take and how much chicken that was. My girlfriend and I decided to try this restaurant after hearing great reviews, and I have to say it did not disappoint! We were warmly greeted, the food was served quickly and hot, the wings were delicious, the poutine was amazing, the beer was cold, and we felt very welcome. The atmosphere was fantastic. Overall, this restaurant is incredible and we will definitely be recommending it and returning. Thank you, Tartan Toque, for being the perfect place to go on a bad day for some comfort food and a warm welcome.
I really enjoy this restaurant, it is a frequent dining spot for me and my family. We love their large fresh salads and chicken burgers. The food is delicious, prices are great, and the atmosphere is perfect. I hope this restaurant remains in Victoria for a long time!
I have multiple food sensitivities (gluten, dairy, eggs) and had no issues after dining at this restaurant. I was pleased to learn that their fryers are free from flour, reducing the risk of cross contamination. My partner and I enjoyed BBQ, honey garlic, and Thai (or possibly sweet chili, I can't recall) wings with a side of small fries. Initially, we had requested buffalo wings but were informed that the sauce contained butter. It's important to inquire about ingredients if you have allergies or sensitivities. I'm grateful to have found a wing spot where I can safely enjoy a meal.
This small pub is a lot of fun, with friendly servers and delicious food at affordable prices.
