Szechuan City Buffet - Victoria

The food isn't why I come here... it's a Chinese food buffet, decent for what it is but not exceptional. What is exceptional is the service! Buffet restaurants are not usually known for their service but this place is different everyone is so inviting and engaging, nothing is too much trouble! If something is running low at the buffet they are right on it, even if it is close to closing time. Really awesome :

Pretty good lunch buffet.<br/ Id gain a lot of weight if it was a regular indulgence.<br/ And thats what it is.<br/ Well run. Good food that seems fresh and the buffet is kept replenished.<br/ If your into the buffet thing, then this place should be at the top of your favourites list.<br/ <br/ STAND BACK,...Im going back for more?!

We really like this place, been there couple times already for lunch buffets recently in the last few months. $15/person for a lunch buffet is a reasonable price in town. The food selection is great. You have to try its deep fried squid, oh mine, better than the one from Golden City (downtown) with a much less price. The squid is very tender. The deep fried spare rib is awesome! You can taste the ingredients are fresh, and the chefs don 't use much artificial add-ons to the dishes, not like the kitchen at Fairway@Quadra. The waitresses there are friendly. After 'Raymond ' has changed hands many years ago, I 've lost my favourite buffet spot in town, until I found Szechuan City Buffet.

Went for dinner here last night. Good, flavourful, and not greasy! We will be back! The service was amazing and super friendly too.

Thumbs up. The secret of this place is showing up right when they open for lunch or dinner time...Guarenteed fresh,hot and satisfaction.Then you don't run into the problem of dried out gummy food and sometimes waiting for them to bring out more food,usually your favorite ones..lol...This usually happens when it's getting closer to switch over from lunch to dinner and then getting closer to dinner closing....If you have made this mistake like i have before then you know reality sets in....So remember show up early and have a wonderful experience at the Szechuan City Buffet.
