We went here to meet a friend and it became a regular place to get sushi. The sushi is amazing and it's cheap to boot. The staff are always friendly. I recently left Vancouver and went back there with a friend, I worried I talked it up too much but it was just as amazing as I remembered. View all feedback.
What Milat Pirivatrić doesn't like about Sushi Dragon Japanese Restaurant:
My experience on a Wednesday night an hour before closing was so different from other posters that I had to do a Google street search for a photo to be certain it was the same place. I ordered albacore sashimi and spicy negi hama roll (spicy tuna with scallions) and got a generously cut serving of...something similar to tuna but with the texture of soft tofu, and the roll made of the same fish, same texture. This is a nice place to get your sushi fix. The service was prompt and sincere. I recommend the lunch boxes because they offer the best value.
We picked up a few rolls from Sushi Dragon to enjoy. The presentation was nice, flavour was great and the price was very reasonable. This is a wonderful family run business that deserves support. We enjoyed our meal and will certainly return.
You might get surprised when you enter this restaurant. Everything looks old. But don’t leave, it totally worths giving a try! The first thing I loved was that they have photos off the menu on the wall! So you can exactly know what you are going to order! Waitress was so friendly and lovely. We enjoyed our meal and sushi quality was high. I really recommend this place to sushi lovers or even beginners!
Dragon Sushi is my go-to place for dinner take-out. I haven't really eaten inside often. It's not renowned for its decor or atmosphere; just great food at reasonable prices. Staff is always friendly and reliable.
While running errands back in October, we were looking for something quick and tasty to eat around the Broadway area. Since there is an overabundance of sushi places in Vancouver, we decided to try Sushi Dragon. This restaurant is rather narrow but the large mirrors on the left wall makes the place feel bigger than it really is. It seemed like they cater mostly to take-out orders as we saw a lot of people coming in to pick up their orders while we waited for our food. The Beef Teriyaki $6.50) was pretty good and at a relatively fair price. The thin slices of beef were covered in a nice sauce. The House Special Roll $5.50) had tuna, salmon, scallop and fake crab on the inside and was topped with tobiko. The Assorted Sashimi $12.50) came with hokkigai surf clam), tai sea bream) which was beautifully delicate, toro fatty tuna), salmon, and tuna. Overall, the sashimi was pretty good with a nice, clean finish. Last up was some nigiri: Toro $1.75), Unagi $1.75), Tamago $1.35), Ikura $1.75), Chopped Scallop $1.50). The only negative that I have to say for the nigiri was that the nori was a bit tough. I was actually surprised at how good the food was at this small little take-out shop.
