We were on a bike tour in Victoria when we stumbled upon this charming little coffee shop. I ordered a breakfast sandwich along with both a hot and cold latte, and they were fantastic! The food and drinks came out quickly and were served piping hot. The service was impressively efficient! Although it's a bit off the bike path, it's definitely worth the detour. I ordered a breakfast sandwich along with a latte. The sandwich was served on a freshly made biscuit and came with pesto, a fried egg, two slices of avocado, tomato, and cheese. It was flavorful, but I wished for more filling since it was mostly biscuit. At $11, it felt a bit pricey, especially since adding bacon would cost an extra $3. It was crazy busy every day the week we stayed close to oak bay clearly popular. I had to repair my coffee, so waited in the long line, but always want to support locally. coffee and cookies were great. the workers were busy and helpful. but the inner was absolutely flawless. as a neat freak I was super impressed. as caffes and restaurants can overlook dinge like dust and crumbs. it was great that the display cases and the floor were incredibly clean. the location is charming and a cute place to run around with a coffee.
Dropped by for a breakfast sandwich and it was an excellent start to the day. Tasty biscuit with egg, avocado, pesto and we added bacon. Yummy!
Ruth Dean never fails with their food and baked goods, it is always delicious! Especially the earl grey cake.. I've had a slice for breakfast on multiple occasions: Since moving to Oak Bay, it has been my go-to spot to have a coffee and sweet treat! Overall a wonderful atmosphere. Don't hesitate to give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. <3
Super jolly staff and a beautiful plant filled space to enjoy a cup of jo in. Also, if you have never liked cake before (as I did years ago before meeting Rudy) you have to try the 5 layered beauties by the slice. Always changing and always delicious. Man oh man where to begin!! The pastries and surprise delights in the case are always fresh and consistent. Coffee. Period. The best I have ever had in any form. With Monogram beans and the care that goes into making each cup is so appreciated. The menu for breakfast and lunch holds onto its prize meals (aka the breakfast sandwich, chicken noodle soup, vegan sandwich and more) are always there to hug you, and Rudy's always cheffing up new recipes to enjoy. There is so much creativity and love in this place. Please stop by for big smiles, tasty nums, and sweet treats to keep you jazzed all day. Much love Rudy! Keep on doing what you do best.
