I really enjoyed the food at the BBQ Joint, the pork was tasty, succulent and delicious. I would definitely eat at this restaurant again, also it is very quaint and no frills, but good food. View all feedback.
What Cleve Okuneva doesn't like about Pig BBQ Joint:
The kids enjoyed the wings and my wife her chicken so I bumped it up to two stars. The barbecue ribs were horrible. They were like warm and more importantly they were tough to eat. At good bbq is tender with meat falling off the bone. For a so called BBQ joint to not slow cook their meat even close to long enough is a travesty. View all feedback.

Nice staff. Tasty sandwich. Nice to sit in the front window and watch the world go by as you eat....
I never did see a smoker on their premises. The brisket always tasted like it wascooked in the oven and not smoked like traditional BBQ. Really not like traditionalBBQ in the Southern USA and not like it should be. It just wasn't great or the real thing.
Dishevelled female cashier sets new low for etiquette. Whilst placing my takeout order Saturday noon I was thinking out loud and was interrupted with a "What?" I replied to the girl that I was just trying to clarify the menu. "What!!" she repeats with emphasis. I stopped and informed the cashier that the word is "pardon." "Whatever." she said. "Well", I said, "that's part of good manners, that you would have learned growing up." She replied, "I can say whatever I want and that's something you should have learned." To wit I said, "if you were in my classroom I'd be sending your to the office right now." That was the end of it except for a snide remark as I received my order. It makes me wonder why the Pig Joint would want this insolent, petulant - thrown out to the house at 15 girl- as the face of their establishment. I'd like to return for the food but not while this miscreant works out her problems all day long while enduring the public.
A group of us wanted to try this restaurant because it was on "You Gotta Eat Here" the nine of us tried the pulled pork and fries and fried Mac & Cheese. The fries are the best I ever had and the pulled pork was good, but I found it wasn't overly favorable. I expected more sauce mixed into it, The Fried mac & cheese was very good. The pulled pork sandwich has a nice soft bun and that is good and mixes well with the pork. The restaurant is located in downtown Victoria. If I ever visit Victoria again I will go back and try their chicken wings with blue cheese.
