Padella Italian Bistro - Victoria

Cute restaurant in the heart of Estevan VillageReally romantic setting with candles on each table and a dark rose red paint covering the walls.

I would give Padella's food a 4, but unfortunately, their service a 2 It seemed to be an off night for them.

I and some friends had a fantastic meal at Padella. We started with the eggplant fries which were wonderful. They were flavourful, light and ever so delicious. I think even non-eggplant fans would find something to like about them. We also had the house marinated olives which, again, were lovely. I had the spaghetti and meat balls. I don't eat beef, so it was a treat to have spaghetti & meatballs, given the meatballs were chicken. Rather than a tomato sauce, the sauce was white beans, leeks and herbs. It was one of the most tasty dishes I have had in a while. Absolutely delicious. My friends had the pasta alla norma and the flat iron steak. They both very much enjoyed their meals. The service was attentive and friendly and the vibe, welcoming. We didn't have a reservation and there was no 'attitude' about this, just a warm welcome and a desire to find us a table, even though the restaurant was busy. I look forward to returning and would not hesitate to recommend it.

My wife and I just ate here for date night and I felt compelled to write a review. We have eaten here a few times and always enjoyed ourselves but this time we decided to try the Chef's Table, which is a new idea they are promoting. Basically the Chef chooses 5 courses for you; from appetizers to dessert.Well, it was the best decision, by far. The selection was superb! The meal progression was really thought out and the flavours were to die for. And to top it all off... we were SO full afterwards! Something that you rarely find in fine dining restaurants these days :-)Thanks a million to Kyle and the whole team for making the night memorable with the best meal we have had in a long time. We can't wait to go there again.
