Lovely room overlooking the water. Rooms were big. No free bottled water but free tea and coffee. Rooms were not serviced daily without requesting it. There was very good conditioner in the shower. Breakfast was good although service was a bit slow. Very clean hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was quite small. View all feedback.
What Roger F doesn't like about Inn At Laurel Point:
The hotel, overall, is generally clean but seems to be slightly understaffed. Rooms with water view available for an additional fee. Please note that no water bottles are provided in the rooms. I was quite surprised to find out the rooms are not cleaned daily, especially given the premium pricing of this hotel (you would expect at least some extra towels in the room). The Inn at Laurel Point was a wonderful place to stay in Victoria for our honeymoon. We stayed in the Erickson wing the first night and then the Laurel wing the next two nights, and I definitely recommend the Erickson wing because it 's much more modern, better quality rooms, better bathrooms, and a nicer balcony. I 'll say again that the Erickson wing room was breathtaking 10/10. The Laurel wing was also very nice, although had much more of a typical hotel vibe without the same sense of luxury that one might expect here. The views from both rooms were stunning (photo below from Erickson wing) and we both agreed that it was one of the best places in Victoria we could have stayed. The staff members were kind and accommodating, and we even got a free dessert voucher because it was our honeymoon. It is also easily within walking distance of the central downtown, boat tour docks, restaurants, and other attractions. The only reason I gave 4 stars is about the cost; even though we had a lovely stay, the cost per night even after a same-day booking discount was a bit overpriced in my opinion, especially the Laurel wing. Overall, though, highly recommended!

I was quite surprised to find out the rooms are not cleaned daily, especially given the premium pricing of this hotel (you would expect at least some extra towels in the room). Additionally, the bathroom exhaust system appears to be malfunctioning or improperly sized, leading to steam accumulation on mirrors and surfaces, as well as noticeable rust and mold in the shower, toilet is so low, you would have hard time getting up. Please be aware of an extra daily charge for parking in the garage. Moreover, there is no standard coffee in the room; only Nespresso is available.

During this hotel experience, I find myself at a loss for any negative observations. From the moment of arrival, the staff showed an exemplary level of assistance and courtesy. From guiding us to our room, this commendable service persisted throughout our stay. Without hesitation, they helped with various requests—be it the reprogramming of our room key or the prompt delivery of additional amenities. Such commitment to guest satisfaction undoubtedly wins my recommendation for a stay at this establishment.Turning the spotlight to its location advantage, the hotel's strategic placement stands out. Positioned centrally, it allows for leisurely strolls to nearby restaurants or the downtown hub. This prime location further bolsters the allure of opting to stay here.Rooms: Elegantly furnished, the room exudes a sense of luxury with a meticulously thought-out and beautifully arranged design.Nearby activities: The hotel provided a wealth of options for entertainment, including a state-of-the-art gym, a refreshing pool, and a stunning lobby designed for relaxation and leisure.Walkability: The downtown area, just a stone's throw away, offered convenient walkability, providing a plethora of activities and attractions to enjoy.Food drinks: There are numerous dining establishments in close proximity, complemented by the exceptional one located on the ground floor.
Right from the booking, things went wrong. I selected the BC residents B&B w/ parking package, only to find out that it didn 't actually include breakfast and parking. Apparently, even when you select that package, it reverts to just room only and you have to pay more if you want the breakfast and parking included! How is this a deal? The room itself is dated, worn carpeting, patio door that needs weather striping, low shower head and a toilet that was so low, my knees were aching by the third day. The room accommodated 4, but only had 2 patio chairs and no side table of any kind to put your coffee, drink or book on. When you book a room with a view and deck, it 's because you plan to spend time out there. We had some local friends coming by to visit and had to ask them to bring folding chairs from home because the hotel could not (or would not) provide an extra 2 deck chairs. The bar fridge is so small you can hardly fit anything in it. For the price of these rooms, they could at least have a standard size bar fridge, not one of these small counter top style that are totally useless. The cupboard that the fridge is in can accommodate a larger fridge,,,so what 's the problem? The location is great and the view fantastic, but we will not be staying there again.
