Dragon Gate Restaurant - Victoria

First time take out order last week and sadly will be the last. The food, as others have alluded to, is basically without flavour. Delivery time was prompt and the food was hot but the goodness ended there. Prices are reasonable but what are you getting? Lots of better choices in Victoria.

I have been frequenting this restaurant for many years. Consistant quality, quantity and service every time. No surprises. I have been to western style Chinese restaurants all over this continent, including Chinatown in San Fran - just can't beat Dragon Gate. Fresh, clean, perfect. Yummy!

It is your average Chinese restaurant -- and that is not bad. It is completely reliable, good quality, and a real corner neighbourhood restaurant.

Four of us (two couples) visited this restaurant. It was clean and the wait staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the vegetarian black bean sauce dish and the vegetables were swimming in a very salty sauce. My husband had a beef rice dish which had quite a few vegetables but they were totally dry and he said there wasn't much flavour. I guess we should have known better than to go in when there were only two other patrons in the place. The Chinese tea was nice though.

I have been eating at Dragon Gate for the last eight years. For Western Chinese food, this small restaurant is great. They have all your favourites and the ingredients used are of superior quality. The owner and staff are friendly and offer great service.Eat there or have it delivered. I highly recommend Dragon Gate.
