Browns Social House - Victoria

We are new to Victoria and have had mostly unprofessional food and service until we went to Browns Social House, the Hillside location and were greeted warmly and seated quickly for brunch. The server introduced herself and was most helpful with drink suggestions and accommodating dietary changes to our brunch order. She asked all the right detailed questions so our eggs arrived just as we like them. The drinks arrived promptly and the food nicely timed and was hot. The food was substantial and very flavourful and our server made it a point to ask how we were enjoying the meal using positive wording, (shows there are standards and training at this eatery). For the quality of the food, the quantity and the taste, its great value. My only regret, they do not offer espresso. We were impressed and we will definitely return. finally some professionalism is the food service industry in Victoria.

I went to this restaurant to buy lunch for myself and my co-workers. Everything was going well until I tried to order nachos. I was informed that I would have to take the nachos home and heat them up in an oven because the restaurant does not have containers for takeout orders. Since I do not have an oven at work, I had to go somewhere else to buy food. I believe this place is good if you want to dine in, but I would not recommend ordering takeout.

As a first-time customer, I had mixed feelings about this restaurant. The staff was fantastic - friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was lively but not overly loud or crowded. The decor was nice, despite being located in an outdoor mall, with a clean and bright interior and a variety of table options both inside and outside. However, I was disappointed by the portion size of my fish and chips entree. The fish pieces were very small and I could count the number of fries on my plate. The price of $24 seemed high for the amount of food provided. My friends also felt the same way. If you're looking for a satisfying meal, you may want to try another restaurant with larger portions and better prices.

We love it when we can sit in a big comfy booth to eat! Emily was a wonderful staff member who really helped us choose our meals. The drinks were great Hibiscus margaritas and Caesars. Yummy. The food was fabulous Thai Cowboy Salad; Pub Burgers; Beef Noodle Bowl and super Eggs Benny. We were all happy and left satisfied and full. Nice decor too.

Super duper friendly staff. They let us sit there for 2 hours after we were done eating until we checked in at our airbnb. They gave us LOTS of soda refills. Nachos and fries hit the spot after flying in from Kelowna. Highly recommend eating here if you're staying/living in Saanich. Friendliest staff I have encountered at a big restaurant in a touristy part of Canada.
