Best fish and chips in town, and an amazing atmosphere. It is a little pricey, but remember it's fresh! Expect to wait some time, and there might not be any available seating, especially for large parties or parties with children. View all feedback.
Since I was in "British" Columbia might as well have some fish and chips for lunch! This place was near our hotel, on the Fisherman's Wharf, which itself
This place was pretty good! The line however, was extremely long and they could probably have better prices.
I ordered the 1 piece halibut dinner with a side of seafood chowder and it was absolutely delicious! Absolutely cannot wait to return!
The most famous Fish & Chips in Victoria. It's been there for years, so good. Located on Fisherman ' s wharf, it use to be the only eating place in the area, but, today there are lots of other kiosks offering different kinds of cuisine....More
We went today to try Barb's after reading reviews about it and other places down in the harbour. We met some locals at Beacon Hill Park (also a definite must) and they suggested it over Red Fish. Knowing other reviewers said Red Fish had such a huge wait, we decided to try Barb's. We arrived at 4:00 on a Monday and had only one group in front of us. Batter was a bit greasy but the fish was delicious. The soup was also very tasty. We walked the pier after that and even at 5:00 the place still only had a few in line. The service was super fast and the price reasonable ($14.95 for two piece). I would certainly go back again instead of waiting in line at other places.
