Unbelievable. there are two sections, a small basement room for casual eating, and an upper floor room for fine eating, both corresponding. we chose below for a prix fixe menu del dia, €13. (I was very tempted from the above offered, which also had a prix fixe menu del dia, this had 22 €. either, and especially the elaborate menu, could easily meet the gluten-free requirements of my wife. they had a mixed fruit and vegetables salad to begin; I had a trio of meat-filled tortellini with drizzles of different cheese, both excellently made. for the escape my wife had a plum chicken leg with plums in a brown sauce; I had a package of chopped meat in baked with a bechemel sauce. terrible. for dessert, a small flame (flan and a strong coffee gelato, both homemade and very delicious. the price includes however much of the bottle wein set on the table that you should drink, which was a Catalan red blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and tempranillo (2010 bach, about $4 a bottle trade and good too good. very recommended for lunch, and I would like to try their upper floor section if I eventually get back to the beautiful medieval old town of vic, which is worth a day trip in any case (90 minutes by train or bus if you are in barcelona for more than five or six days. (pork sausages are a local speciality, and there is a remarkably well preserved Roman tempel from the 2nd century.
