A chef from a pizzeria in a... read more This lovely eatery managed to fit us in after we had been diverted through the region due to a car crash on one of the larger roads. A chef from a pizzeria in a neighbouring village could not fit us in for lunch but kindly called the owner of L'Escalier. The owner was friendly and the waiting staff incredibly friendly. They spoke to us in a mixture of French and English. They offered a bespoke sharing tapas style starter for the children and then divided a lovely beef main course between them. We ordered the beef too and my wife the tuna steak. The food was delicious, the service fast and friendly. A lovely pit stop! Thank you so much. x
