Contribute FeedbackIntermezzo in Vernon has the potential to dominate the dining scene, but falls short in terms of flavor and personality. Service is good, but the food is average and lacks the exceptional quality promised by many reviews. Despite some flaws, the ambiance is cozy and the wine selection impressive. The menu is eclectic, offering a variety of options, and the service is professional and attentive. Overall, Intermezzo is a solid choice for an evening out, but may not meet the high expectations set by its reputation. Consider returning for a good meal and excellent wine list in a comfortable setting.
We were staying at sparkling hill resort and hadn't heard very good reviews regarding the peak restaurant so decided to try out this restaurant based on
A lovely oasis in the middle of Okanagan Wine CountryA tastefully designed room that was somewhat on the dark side.
Have to laugh at the MATT review what a dolt this guy is ;; anyhow I have gone here many times and usually pretty happy decided to try a 37 small steak;
Lovely cocktails & appetizers, four excellent meals with a beautiful bottle of French wine, all engagingly served to us by Michael. The only thing that might have made it better was if they had picked up on the note (in our online reservation) that it was our 20th Anniversary.But overall, nothing but praise
On the surface, it should have all the ingredients for owning the Vernon market for exclusive dining (except for certain wineries). But oddly doesn't have a personality. Something looking good on a plate does not translate into flavourful. We clearly understand that in Vernon one has very limited choices...but when you are trying to be a cut above - remember quality and flavour beat presentation all day.So we sound snobby - right? Wrong. Admittedly, perhaps we are with wine - so we order the best red on the "list" only to find out when we pay our bill that there is a private list that is far better....thanks for that!Will will not return.
