The aroma of freshly baked products will have you floating in seconds : the breakfast croissants and the coffee are delish. The deserts looked sooo tempting but I resisted so I can’t confirm they’re as great as they look and smell. View all feedback.
This is our go to apres ski spot when we visit Silver Star. The kids love the variety of pastries and I enjoy the cold Bavaria beer they have on tap. Heated patio is a plus.
Bugaboos is a great place to grab an end of the day snack. Either a really tasty sweet treat or a delicious soup or sandwich. Always love going there. Great atmosphere and a great place to meet some friends. Location is perfect just at the end of the village, seconds away from the cross country ski trails and the gondola. And great views to the Monashees. Plus a great deck so sit on as the weather gets warmer. Always my favourite on the mountain!
A great little spot for a great breakfast will be back again soon.
My recent visit to Bugaboos was unfortunately marred by an unwelcoming encounter with the owner, Frank, raising concerns about both service quality and the atmosphere. As the only Asian patron in the restaurant, I couldn 't help but feel that my experience was further impacted by what seemed like racial bias.Upon entering the restaurant in the ski resort village, I ordered two coffees and two sandwiches while waiting for my kid 's ski camp. The food quality was, at best, mediocre, and the prices were on the higher side, which is somewhat expected in a tourist destination. However, what truly disappointed me was the treatment I received from the owner. As I finished my meal and settled in to relax with a book, Frank approached me with an abrupt request to leave. His initial tone, Are you all done? Will you leave? was not only impolite but left me questioning whether my ethnicity played a role in his demeanor. When I explained that I had ordered two drinks and two sandwiches, Frank insisted on enforcing a rigid 30-minute time limit for patrons, irrespective of their order quantities. This inflexible policy seemed arbitrary and only heightened my discomfort, especially considering I was the sole diner at the time. Moreover, when I offered to order more items to extend my stay, Frank dismissively asserted that I still needed to leave. The apparent prioritization of table turnover over customer satisfaction left a sour taste in my mouth. The overall quality of service, coupled with what felt like a discriminatory undertone, significantly impacted my perception of Bugaboos. The food, in my opinion, was subpar, and the atmosphere was tainted by an uncomfortable encounter with the owner. In conclusion, my experience at Bugaboos was far from satisfactory, and I would caution others, especially those from diverse backgrounds, about potential biases in the treatment they may receive. Improved customer service policies and a more inclusive approach would undoubtedly enhance the overall dining experience at this establishment.
A must with every visit to the mountain. Been coming here for over 10 years. Never disappoints. Great coffee, amazing food. Great staff.
