Gelateria Dal 1968 - VERNAZZA

Very average gelato and a very rude owner. The one star reviews are pretty much spot on to my experience and what I witnessed happen to other people. Kicked out for having food from another place while eating gelato from here. Being kicked out isn't even a big deal, but this lady was so rude about it. Yelled at and told that nowhere else in the world could you take food from one place and sit in another... That statement alone shows ignorance as that is actually common practice in a lot of places as long as they are a paying customer where they are sitting. Sure, move people along who aren't your customers at all but whats the harm in letting your paying customer enjoy your neighbours food too if the tables are free? We were pretty much finished and there were empty tables so we didn't even see the point of the rude confrontation except for the owner to vent at customers. The responses to other reviews show no ability to take criticism towards behaviour, policies, or products so I doubt this will help the business improve, but maybe it will help warn a future potential customer. Vernazza has a great atmosphere and this store is diminishing it. Just go to a better gelateria around the corner.

It's a good ice-cream shop, but nothing special. There was some small pieces of ice inside on one of them that I choose and the prices are higher then in other cities because it's a touristic place. P.S BTW this is the first ice-cream shop in Italy where they ask for money (0.50 € if you want extra pana on top. 3.5/5 is my real rating.

Just got a cone 2 flavors and cream, salted caramel and Vernazza cream (lemon, cinnamon and ginger).. really good. Not to mention the cream

Low quality, icy gelato, definitiw a tourist trap, server was also very unfriendly. also a friend found a fly in his gelato.

If you are in vernase you can not eat ice cream from Mrs. Sonia....cortesia and kindness is the business card. Ice cream costumes are stratospheric! the stage is mandatory because the quality feels! We will be back:
