I really enjoyed it. The place needs some updating but the food was great and the service was good. It took a little while to get our food but it was worth the wait! View all feedback.
What n0iaa doesn't like about La Cabana:
The restaurant is spotless, the wait staff is friendly and attentive but the food is average at best. My husband's chicken parm was bland and my bolognese was almost inedible because of the excessive amount of oregano they use. Maybe their pizzas are better. View all feedback.
Food was excellent as always however took a long time to be seated and even longer for our waitress to come around.
They did great under adverse conditions. We were a arty of 21, ages 6 to 76. They put us in the back area so that we could be somewhat by ourselves. The waiter was great; the most organized I have ever seen. Unbelievable pizza menu and a solid list of Italian regulars.
My family of 5 stopped in here for dinner and dessert as we were on a 6 state road trip. This food was the best food we ate on our whole trip, hands down. We were able to try several appetizers: the breadsticks were warms and cheesy, the split pea soup had a perfect balance of flavor and texture, and the caprese salad was so refreshing. We had 4 different pizzas and 2 pastas. Everyone at the table agreed the lasagna was out of this world divine with layers of meat and cheese. The Antica Forma pizza had this delicious sweet grilled onions that blended so well with the fresh made mozzarella. The Pistachio pizza was uniquely delicious with a gentle nutty flavor and unlike anything we have tried before. To end the night we tried 6 different desserts-all of which were absolutely delicious. Some highlights included the cream brûlée-my daughter moaned when she ate that one. My husband’s personal favorite was the German chocolate cake which was both moist and flavorful! I loved the wild berries cheesecake-smooth, sweet but not too sweet, with a chocolate crust-it was amazing. My other daughter loved the freshness of the strawberries shortcake and cream. We walked away with a ton of leftovers from this meal but thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. Additionally the staff and service was top notch. If your passing through Vernal, we highly recommend eating here.
The food here was really delicious! I had the Chicken Alfredo, and the sauce was wonderful. The rest of my party had pizza, and they said it was good. The service was a little slow, but it was a busy night. We were given free garlic bread for compensation. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is it was really hot in the restaurant.
This restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Vernal. They specialize in personal sized wood-fired pizzas. The ingredients are fresh and pizzas are made to order. The oven is the focal point of the restaurant, so you can see your food being prepared. The service was fine, although it took quite a while for the waiter to come around, and once my food came, I waited even longer for a drink refill and my check. The biggest issue was soggy crust. I ended up eating the toppings off and leaving the rest. For a small town, I can understand why this restaurant was recommended. But I have had better wood-fired oven pizza experiences.
