Now, let's talk about the food—it's absolutely incredible! The biscuits and gravy could use a touch more pepper and salt, but they're still divine. The fried potatoes, on the other hand, are outstanding. They have the crunch of a chip and then melt in your mouth, becoming delightfully chewy. I recommend ordering a cup of their biscuit gravy on the side for dipping the potatoes. The freshly squeezed orange juice is also delicious. Overall, I definitely plan to come back if I find myself in Vernal again!

I can't understand how this place doesn't have a 5-star rating—it truly deserves it! Our waiter was attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. The breakfast was fantastic!

Upon walking in it was obvious that this is where the locals come. The food on everybody’s plates looked excellent. The service was unmatched. Friendly, quick refills, they even brought my mom a can of Diet Coke because they only had Pepsi products and she’s a coke lady. I had the chicken fried steak with fried potatoes, sourdough toast and eggs. Sooo good. The raspberry jam was to die for. The seasoning on my country fried steak was the best I’ve ever had and the white gravy was amazing (usually im a brown gravy guy). From the gravy im sure their biscuits and gravy must be amazing. Passing through vernal and not stopping here would be a terrible mistake.

Betty 's Cafe. If you are looking for a classic homespun breakfast or lunch diner-style restaurant closes at 2pm everyday, currently) you have found it. You can order breakfast or lunch anytime of the day they are open. The bonus is the service and the quality and preparation of the menu items. I was served the largest and tastiest sausage patty ever! also note that the ham steaks are gigantic and perfectly cooked). The menu offers all the usual suspects for breakfast, but in addition a few stand out. 'The Outlaw ' breakfast platter is a classic. It is a hamburger steak, 2 eggs, fried potatoes, either a biscuit, toast or pancake I would suggest the pancake, as they are perfect). With 'The Outlaw ' you have a choice of white or brown gravy or the off-menu option of mixed). Another star on the menu is the in-house made Cinnamon Rolls. You will need help eating this one for sure. Beautiful icing and the right amount of cinnamon in the flakey pastry. It is huuuge. To be sure the menu has omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, steaks, fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito and various sides. If you want lunch, you will be happy too. Pork chops, sirloin steak, chicken fried steak, burgers, BLTs, fish chips, Navajo tacos, salads and mashed potatoes, fried potatoes or french fries. Home soups and chili are some of the best you can get. All soups are also served with a homemade scone. Great lunches. It is hard to say how much I recommend Betty 's Cafe. If you are in the area and do not eat here, do so at your own peril. Great job to the staff and ownership at Betty 's Cafe.
