The welcome is very nice, the deli... read more Very good estaminet in Wambrechies. We went to the canteen on Saturday night for the first time and we were not disappointed. The welcome is very nice, the delicious local dishes, even the white wine picon was perfectly golden (which is rare). We spent a very nice evening and will go back to the canteen every time we want to introduce northern specialties to friends.

The menu of dishes is pretty poor and very classic for this kind of establishment, we would have liked a little originality. We took marrow bones in the entrance, it's well served. Then, for the dishes, the Flemish carbonade was good but will not leave a gourmet souvenir. The brash was correct but a little expensive for what it is: it does not require much work and know-how in the kitchen, and the quantity and quality of the meats that were served did not justify the price. Mention very well for fresh fries cooked with beef fat and can shave big eaters. The price of beer, high, reminds us immediately that on this point Belgian estaminets are attractive!
