Stopped here with the boys after reading that this was a great locals spot for poutine. The hot dogs were really good. The fries were expertly cooked, and the poutine was simple, straightforward and really good. I would stop here again! View all feedback.
What SMITH SMITH doesn't like about Pierrette Patates:
The owner decided that his employee must have given me too many fires, even if I did order the biggest bag of fries which comes to $10, so he removed a huge amount of them behind the counter and double bagged them thinking I didn 't notice. I guess he decided to give my extra fries to the other customer that was waiting. Once I got home with my purchase I was shocked to see that not only did he remove all the fries t... The hot dogs and pouting were delicious and my lamb gyro was an incredible surprise! The sauce The cooking and flavor of the meat were on point. Cooks are friendly and the diner atmosphere makes you feel nostalgic! You have to go here!
I miss living around the corner from this joint. “Best poutine in Verdun” is really subjective, but if you’re close to this place, it’s a contender. Also, everyone who works here is always quite nice. However, I gotta tell you that they have a really nice pork souvlaki pita, too. Bread is fresh, pork is well-grilled, sauce is garlicky and creamy. I know there’s a bigger souvlaki place around the corner now, but it’s worth checking out here, too. Particularly if you are already cruising by for a poutine.
This restaurant has a cozy, traditional diner atmosphere. The poutine is served quickly and is generous in portion sizes, offering great value. There is no unnecessary frills or pretentiousness here. The gravy is full of flavor and they don't skimp on the cheese curds. Restaurants like this are the reason why poutine is so famous.
Very reasonable, came hot and everything tasty, classic
Our lives not too far from this place. It's your classic Montreal greasy spoon the fries are delicious, they are homemade... Not greasy at all. They offer several format sizes of fries. If you want to have a bag just to yourself or you want to bring a bike home to the family. They're very inexpensive. Staff is very friendly. A lot better than spending your money at certain popular hamburger chains. Most assuredly... My only complaint is that they close at 8 in the.. so if you finish work late and you've been craving a couple of hot dogs with a french fry you're out of luck... Make sure you ask your boss to finish early so you can get there before it closes
