What User doesn't like about Chez Jacquie & France:
What a place! The person at the door identified themselves as the owner, but was not wearing their mask correctly. When I mentioned it, they replied that this is the way they wear it (okay). The next issue was that they did not follow or enforce any of the rules, or use the official requirement to scan your passport (no scan). So if you don't mind risking your health or potentially getting COVID in a place where ther... View all feedback.
On Sunday around 12:30 my sister, her boyfriend and I and my boyfriend all opted to go to Jacqui et France for a late breakfast. We showed up and it was busy as usual. We wanted a spot on the terrace and noticed that a table was free and stood waiting for it to be cleared so we could sit down. Tired of standing for a while, we decided to sit down where we sat for over 20 minutes, with dirty plates and leftover food remaining there untouched by the waitress who had seen us waiting and saw us sit down. After seeing the waitress offer menus and coffee to multiple tables who arrived much later than us, my boyfriend went in and politely asked if the waitress could remove the used dishes and bring us menus because we had been seated for a while without any sort of recognition from the waitress. She was confrontational and said that we would have to wait because she didn't have time to take care of our table because the food was coming out of the kitchen and she needed to deal with that first, yet had provided other tables with menus and coffee. Her boss overheard her talking to my boyfriend and told her to clear the table and bring out menus. My boyfriend returned to the table and said she would be bringing menus and would clear the table. A little while later, the same blonde waitress flew over to our table and started screaming at my boyfriend. She demanded that he show her who she served before us and saying how dare he make her look bad in front of her boss and going on and on. Everyone on the entire terrace stopped and stared as she screamed at us and made a HUGE scene. At this point, we had been waiting for 40 minutes. We simply asked for the dirty dishes to be removed, as flies were swarming and it was a hot day and menus so we could decide what we wanted...we didn't even dare ask for a coffee or water, just a menu and for her to clear the table after 40 minutes of baking in the sun! Everyone on the terrace went quiet and stopped and stared. It was humiliating. Her behaviour is completely unacceptable and unreasonable. My sister and I are regulars here and always bring new customers to this establishment. My boyfriend is in the restaurant industry and word of mouth travels fast. He called to speak to the boss to make a complaint and the boss said that she thinks she knows who it was and didn't even offer an apology. I will never step foot into this place again and my friends won't either after this experience. We are paying customers and bring a lot of business to this place and to be confronted with abusive behaviour like this is not ok!I'll just stick to places like Universel, where I get consistently great food and amazing service!
I am a person who only posts positive reviews, but I feel as the disgusting treatment I experienced at Jacquie et France needs to be shared to prevent others from facing this treatment as well.Yesterday, I went to Jacquie et France. Initially, the patio tables were full, and the waitress said we could go inside for a table. We were told to go to the boat and wait to be seated. Upon waiting at the boat (more than 10 minutes), we were asked by two different older ladies how many we were in our party, but we never seated despite there being empty tables for 4. We saw a table for 4 became available on the patio, so we went out for that table since we had came with the intention of having a patio table. We stood on the patio for 10 minutes waiting for the table to be cleaned and to be seated, but got tired of standing in the sun, so we sat down at the table in the shade. The waitress came out numerous times, cleaned tables, delivered menus, and seated and served tables who arrived after us. We then waited more than 20 minutes sitting at a dirty table, without even so much as a glance from our waitress. So someone in my group went in to kindly ask the waitress if she would be able to clean the table and bring us menus so we could order. At this point, we had waited 40 minutes and were starving and just wanted to order. When he asked her if she could bring us menus and clean the table, her boss overheard and told him it would be taken care of. All of a sudden, the waitress stormed out and started yelling, "Show me which tables I served before you!" She then accused him of making her look bad in front of her boss. He asked her to calm down, since unprovoked, she was yelling at us in front of the whole patio of people and embarrassing us. Everyone was staring and went quiet, and it was absolutely no way for us to be treated. He simply asked her to clean the table and bring menus (to do her job), and she flipped on him, embarrassing us in front of everyone.I went to Jacquie et France often before this, but I refuse to support a restaurant who treat their clients in this manner on top of providing poor service. It's one thing to make clients wait nearly an hour for a clean table and menus, but to scream at them in front of a whole patio of people is a whole new level of unprofessionalism!

Birthful eggs with lobster ... just magical, beautiful, exquisite ... in a family environment ... I recommend more!
Ate there with friends. Good amount of food, tasty. It is busy Saturday mornings, but that is their normal. Good turnover of loyal customers. Hidden gem. Most breakfast places are priced higher. Good value for your money
