The menu offers food that goes beyond standard bar fare. I ordered the country burger, made with a mix of beef and pork, topped with an egg. It was one of the best burgers I’ve had in quite a while. I also sampled the pesto mayo, which was absolutely outstanding. If this place were located in Omaha, I’d be a regular. Be sure to make this stop— the kitchen is open from 5 to 10!

We happened to visit on the only day they serve lunch (Thursdays). The pork chop special is a thick, tender chop paired with hearty egg noodles and lightly smothered in mushroom gravy. The gravy features generously-sized chunks of mushrooms and allows the flavors of the dish to shine through. It comes with a side of mixed vegetables and a dinner roll... not to mention CUPCAKES! The owner is friendly and genuinely cares about his customers. Be sure to try their fresh burgers and homemade onion straws—the local favorites that everyone raves about!
