The decor, background soundtrack, and ambiance sets the tone for one of the most memorable dining experiences to date. The staff, though short-staffed (like mostplaces now a days) was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu selections. I overindulged in the flavorful Korean shortribs with shaved Brussels sprouts AND the 40 Smash which is a mashed baked potato with jalapenos, black olives, onions, cheddarcheese... I chose the smoked Tri-tip with the house BBQ sauce and C40 drizzles and sour cream. ???? ???? If you find yourselfhungry and on the opposite end of the highway near Verdi, do yourself a favor and make Chop 40 a food destination to stop by forsome great vibes and food!

They have changed to a fast cas... read more I have eaten here scores of times. Usually excellent food and excellent service with few exceptions. Today was horrible service. They have changed to a fast casual style dining experience, which is fine. We ordered a burger and fries and waitedan hour and ten minutes for it. We were served after several people who came well after us. Crazy bad service. The wait helpwere all very nice, just no excuse to wait over an hour for a simple burger and be served after several people that arrived wellafter us.

Both times the service was absolutely amazing, and a Very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Its a small spot with a lot of rustic charm. And the food! Oh my gosh the food! I haveto say this is the best meal I?ve had while dining out, since our move to Northern Nevada 7 years ago. Hands down withoutquestion. Definitely worth the drive no matter what part of Reno you?re in. We?ve had the Korean short ribs (which will be amust for us from now on) they?re definitely done right! (My husband is Korean) Last night we had the wings with their C40 sauce.Amazing! The chainsaw tacos and Sierra cowboy were both incredible and have become fast favorites. The girls at work were verysweet and so friendly and definitely know the menu. Give this place a shot. I don?t think you?ll be disappointed. We willdefinitely be back on a regular basis.
