We have now eaten twice at L'Ermitage restaurant in Verbier, and both times have been very impressed by the Welcome from the staff and the delicious food. This year there is much more light in the restaurant and the tables have been made slightly further apart which gives a better feel of spaciousness. View all feedback.
What André Jacques doesn't like about Hotel Ermitage Verbier:
The owner is a lier and thief. We booked for dinner there in January in the morning the day of our booking.. We called to cancel and were told it was fine. Later they took 400chf from our credit card. The manager said we could...afford it because we were rich. And that he never said we could cancel. Despite several attempts to go in ans reason he just shouts! Seriously avoid this place. I’m speechless. View all feedback.
We went there with our friends. We ordered from the menu which was both French and English. The starters were good. Then we ordered the pork ribs, which turned out to be pork chops. We called the waiter and told him that the food was...wrong, that we ordered ribs. He said they had chops, not ribs. We showed the menu, which clearly said ribs. The English translation was obviously wrong. He said the translation was very good ! He simply said ‘we don’t have ribs’ without apologizing and just left. We thought it was very rude and very strange way of handling this.
L’Ecurie has a new chef and while I had never been to this restaurant before (so can’t compare), it is now absolutely delightful! The space is cosy, the service attentive and friendly. And the food… the food, wow… every single dish was super tasty, with...well balanced flavors, lovingly presented, and generously served. Even the bread was good, which says a lot about the thought that goes into Écurie’s offer. Prices are very fair, especially given the quality and the usual prices in Verbier. Highest marks from me, which is a rare thing. As a passionate foodie, I normally find at least one thing to improve You can either book a table at 7pm or at 9pm. If you want to take your time, go for the 9pm option, as the 7pm can feel slightly rushed.
Food excellent, service attentive and a lovely meal for us all. Great choice of dishes and all well prepared. Done dining choice in lovely atmospheric venue
First the food was not well done... So it went for a second try. Unfortunately... too salty, fried Spätzle really?, could have been more. After all... my expectations were higher...
We didn't have any reservations; the restaurant was packed (inside and outside). The waitress, who welcomed us and a colleague of her nevertheless found a found a table for us. We thus had an excellent dinner in a very friendly atmosphere.
