What Gertrud Schneider doesn't like about Cabane Mont-Fort CAS:
mountain atmosphere that could be nice if the service was. We ate a tartiflette that was very correct then a very good apple pie for a normal price to verb. on the other hand, the service is detestable; neither hello nor goodbye, we understand that it is only our leaf door that interests them. The cabana has a wonderful position high in the mountains. One can eat inside or on the terrace, depending on the weather. Sandwiches, soup, fondue, pasta etc. Good brownies and fruit tarts.
Cabane Mont Fort is a great place to visit skiing down from Gentianes. Great for a croute after a monring’s ski sitting out admiring the view. The soups will also warm you up. Don’t miss the wild blueberry tarts. They area to die for.
We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food at this spectacular location. When we arrived we saw delicious lunches being served on the deck. Half board included a pile of spaghetti with bolognese sauce. Our private room was comfortable but we needed to...be careful not to bang our head on the low beam. Showers were nice as we were hiking the Haute Route.
Have been there many times mainly for drinks, coffe, snacka etc on the outside terrAce Beautiful views but often queues that are quite long This time i went inside the Restaurant twice and was astonished of the; Good food; actually delicious Attentive friendly staff Proper...organisation and hearty smiles It will surprise you; positively!! An attention to details that is truly swiss!!!
My wife and I had a ski vacation to Verbier earlier this month, and this was our one lunch on the slopes. It's only accessible from above and that is part of the charm. The weather was friendly, so we sat out on the terrace...instead of inside. On the terrace, you order at the window, pay, and they give you a number that they'll call once your order is ready. We ordered some Rosti with sausage and the goulash soup (du jour) plus a beer for each of us. The soup came with a green salad, but all of that was Swiss francs, wow! (We found all of Switzerland to be pricy, but that's another story). The view was incredible though, the food was delicious, and if one is going to eat high on the slopes of Vallees then this is a great place.
