This restaurant is a hidden treasure. It is always bustling, which is a good indicator of its quality. If there are no tables available, you can sit at the bar. The ambiance could be improved with a small update to make the room more aesthetically pleasing, but overall, it is a fantastic spot. View all feedback.
What kristen Collins doesn't like about The Iron Furnace:
It was very hot outside, and they had ONE wall airconditioner in the corner where we were not seated. Their remedy was to set up a small fan to blow around the hot air. SMH. It was also crowded and extremely loud. Couldn't hear anyone at the table speaking. Tables are very close together. The food was average. Service was horrible and slow. We stopped by to have a drink and grab some lunch. Very friendly local spot. Highly recommend their burger made from locally farmed beef, it was one of the best that I had in a while. Also, wings were pretty good, they accommodated us by adding extraspice. All in all, highly recommended when in area.
Four and a half stars I would give if able, since this was nearly a perfect experience. Cozy interior dining room, which almost looks like someone's home. Friendly waitstaff and delicious American fare. Clean bathroom and unpaved parking outside. However, there is no wi-fi, and the noisy air conditioner directly above the table is less than ideal.
The restaurant was very crowded so we had to sit at a tall table in the bar area. The food was amazing and the service was top-notch! We will definitely be returning many more times in the future. Overall, we give it a perfect score of 5 for food, service, and atmosphere. We had a wonderful dining experience.
On Saturday, November 26th at 3:15, the restaurant was extremely busy, but we were lucky to secure a nice table before the rush! The burgers here are absolutely delicious. Both the Tap Room and Dining Room had a cozy atmosphere, which was the perfect way to end our day after visiting a nearby Alpaca farm. By the way, the Bartender was fantastic! She not only managed the Tap Room but also personally took drink orders in the dining room. It seemed like they were short-staffed, but she handled everything with hard work and a friendly attitude. Overall, this is a great place for lunch or dinner when in the area.
After attending a funeral nearby, my family and I decided to visit this restaurant for a quiet place to relax and chat. Despite only ordering drinks, the staff graciously allowed us to stay. The waitress who also tended the bar was very hospitable and efficient, managing the busy establishment on her own. I look forward to returning for a meal the next time I am in the area.
