OK……SORRY BONEYARD BUT 1 STAR! should be 0 star Been here before and it was always good, I wouldn’t say great but good/solid. I am not a craft beer guy so that doesn’t help. (when did Microbrew turn into ‘Craft’? Friday night with some friends. 4top Ordered drinks…fine Ordered apps. 1x cevice 2x fried dates. Fried dates were good Strike 1. Got a plate of heirloom tomatoes instead of cevice. (We’ll forgive The cevice once it was brought out was sweet and unappetizing (Foul Since we were 4 we decided on: “The Evanator(2 to 4 People Rack Each of the Ribs, Pulled Pork, Tri Tip, Brisket, 1/2Chicken, Lg. Mac, Cole Slaw, Beans 85” The sides were good. The meat was COLD!!!! (Strike 2 Asked waitress to heat it up (my friend who made the reservations was mortified She brought it back LUKE WARM AND BURNT ON THE OUTSIDE. (Strike 3 I was angry, I have worked in the restaurant business in the past and this is completely unacceptable I rudely said “This is ****” (my bad, foul on me and said I would like them to bring us a ‘NEW’ one. Guess what – now our food was brought out again….the same food….burnt to a crisp on the outside LUKE WARM!!! (STRIKE 4? What a joke. Since we were here with friends we rarely see, we decided to grin and bear it but I assure you if this was just the Mrs and I we would have walked out. We all picked at it….when the waitress came by she asked if we would like it to go….the ongoing joke at this point was “yes please…we can then take it home and heat it in the microwave” So…..check comes out. No offer of dessert or drinks because of the trouble – AND-……..the heirloom tomatoes that we never ordered and were replaced were on the tab!!!!!!!!! What a !!!!! joke of a place this is. Bill was 200 (we drank and had apps Sooo dissaponted and feel ripped off Thanks for listening!!!
This is a nice looking bistro, small, however charming. Limited tables inside and outside sitting available as well. My first meal there was not bad. We happened to come in on a Tuesday and it was ‘half-off of their bottles of wine. We definitely took advantage of that, I couldn’t remember which wine we had, and they did have a nice selection. One thing , I can’t remember if bistros have plasma screens, well this one did, which helped with my ex B’s attention span. Monday nights are 1/2 priced beers another plus and they boast an array of micro-brews. So come here with no expectations, the servers were great and very friendly and knowledgeable. One of the owners was there also to chat with the diners, very nice touch. I only give it a 3 stars since it is on the pricier side for a gastro-pub bistro, but worth visiting.
Consistent great barbecue a mix of Texas and Kansas City. Had the large brisket bone short rib (huge) and couldn't get enough. My wife doesn't like barbecue so she had food from the Bistro side of the menu. Great Catfish with grilled vegetables. Casual dining taken to a whole new level. Also, super wine list for this type of restaurant.
Went to Boneyard Bistro with friends because they wanted barbecue and I don't eat meat but the menu had lots of choices for me. My husband and friends ordered a combo meal for 4 that came with all of the different BBQ meats/pork and lots of sides. I ordered the trout. The food came luckily split! I couldn't believe how fast it came. Their feisty looked incredible and judging by what was left, it was delicious. My trout was just OK. It had a citrus taste throughout the fish and all of the vegetables on my plate so it was Ll pretty one note. My drink was awesome though! I think it was called the smoke and salt. It was like a margarita made with mezcal. It was soooo strong and once I got used to that, I loved it! Our waiter Walter was awesome too. Very friendly and efficient as was all of the help there that night.
Great appetizers and Happy Hour. Ribs were a little over cooked but still tasty. Would go back. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive.
