I absolutely love that this restaurant serves corn burritos! Their lunch plate comes with 5 burritos, beans, and rice, and it is both satisfying and delicious. Living in California, I believe that corn burritos are a must-have, and I'm thrilled that this place continues to serve them authentically. The service is quick and friendly, and you have the option to take your food to go or enjoy it while sitting down. View all feedback.
What Gina M doesn't like about Tony's Burrito Hut:
I really like them , I would want to see them wash their hands more, not answer the phone take money and then turn around and go make your burrito. The staff is really nice .. Keep in mind we watch you there's always someone watching you , you need to wash your hands and if it's one person that's working (because someone's not coming until later or someone called out sick) then you're gonna be washing your hands a lo... As a vegetarian, I can't comment on the quality of the meat options, but from what I have tried, this place is amazing! Tony's offers the largest, most flavorful burritos for under 10$. The tortillas are soft and buttery, and I especially enjoy their veggie burrito and onion rings. My friends who eat meat rave about the delicious asada.
The salsa is the best. Highly recommend the Habanera sauce. It's what binds the good old California meals. Great hole in the wall.
I'm thrilled that this restaurant is still open! It's the original spot for the famous corn burrito, and even after all these years (over 10 for me personally), it hasn't changed. The only downsides are that the prices have gone up, like everywhere else, and they're almost four times what they were in the 90s. Also, for some reason, they were served dry this time. They used to come with sauce already on them, so I recommend asking for sauce on them when you order.
Family owned restaurants, delicious food fast and great prices!
