Very authentic, fresh and delicious! Haven't had legitimate ME food since I left NY. Falafel was not salty, the hummus was smooth and lemony and the kebabs tender and delicious! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Green Olive Ventura:
Don't bother wasting your time here, even if it's more convenient. Go to the Camarillo location instead. This place is not a good representation. They forgot 75% of my order. I will be going to Chipotle from now on. View all feedback.
During my first visit to Green Olive, I decided to try out their falafel patties as a test. They were delicious, perfectly crunchy on the outside, and served with tahini and their famous vegan green sauce for dipping. On my most recent visit, I opted for the wrap which was good, but the falafel patties lacked the crunchiness of my initial visit. It could be due to the time of day or maybe the patties absorbed the sauces inside the wrap. Next time, I plan to try the falafel plate or simply order the patties again. The wrap included a green salad, tahini, green sauce, and extra pickles. I made sure to confirm that the creamy salad dressing and green sauce were indeed vegan.
The food at this restaurant was excellent. I would definitely order takeout from here again. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. However, the service was lacking. The server was friendly and polite, but not very attentive to the diners. When our food was brought out, the server was on their phone and didn't ask if we needed anything else. They also forgot to bring out my baba ganoush, and when I reminded them, they said they didn't know I still wanted it, even though I had originally ordered it. The beers were good and the food was delicious. If the restaurant improved their service, it would greatly enhance the overall experience. Overall, it was a good dining experience.
I was impressed by the delicious and flavorful food at this restaurant. The hummus was particularly outstanding, and they offer a good variety of drinks. I will definitely be returning in the future. The service was also excellent.
The Veggie Mediterranean food at this restaurant is truly amazing, despite its slightly awkward location at the back of a grocery store. The food is so good that it deserves its own standalone restaurant! I particularly enjoyed the eggplant wrap and the house-made dolmas.
During my initial visit to Green Olive, I decided to try three falafel patties as a test. They were absolutely delicious, with a perfect crisp exterior, and they were served with tahini and their renowned vegan green sauce. This time, I opted for a combo meal, which was good overall, but the falafel patties were not as crispy as they were on my first visit. It's possible that the crispiness may vary depending on the time of day or due to the patties absorbing the sauces in the combo meal. For my next visit, I plan on trying the falafel plate or ordering the patties again. The combo meal included a green salad, tahini, green sauce, and extra pickles. I made sure to confirm that the incredibly creamy salad dressing and green sauce were indeed vegan-friendly.
