Busy Bee Cafe - Ventura

I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. My boyfriend and I decided to stop by for some drinks after dinner, as we had always admired the place while passing by. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, so we were able to choose our seats easily. The wait staff was friendly and provided us with menus quickly. The menu was extensive, which was a plus. However, the drink I ordered was not good and was overpriced for the small portion size. My boyfriend's beer was nothing special either. We were surprised to receive a plate of mixed nuts, which signaled a table charge. The ambiance was not great - the music was too loud and the lighting was dim. After finishing our drinks, we were shocked at the high bill we received. The prices were steep for what we got. I would recommend looking for another place in the area for drinks. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

The Busy Bee Cafe is a Ventura icon. Modeled after a 1950’s cafe, The restaurant offers large portions with quality food. You can choose the music at your table. $0.25 a song. They have a large menu with items that you would expect. I eat here often. The fried chicken is delicious. The sandwiches are great. I also like the fish and chips. The staff is friendly. And I enjoy the vibe. Oh, they also serve beer.

We were there yesterday, everytime we go to Ventura to get away from the hell of L.A. we eat here, everything's perfect everytime. I wish food service people in L.A. conducted themselves like the employees of Busy bee diner.

Ordered regular bacon burger with milkshake. Not bad at all. Love the fries. Played 2 songs from that little juke box next to our table just like the old days. Service was very pleasant.

I stop by the Busy Bee Cafe everytime I go to Ventura. The hot fudge sundae is amazing. This Cafe is A throw Back from the 1950 with shakes, Burgers and much more yummy food. Great service and good prices. Check it out and enjoy this fun Cafe
