After a long wandering walk from our hotel next to the San Salute Church, we were ready for a coffee or hot chocolate, and turning into this small square, we were lucky. Tables outside just waiting for thirsty tourists, not that there were any about. We sat in the sunshine, drinks were very welcome, and consulted the map to find where we were not that it really mattered. Getting lost in venice is half the fun View all feedback.
If you are looking for simple, fresh food prepared with passion and expertise, this is the place for you. The service is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Our best meal in Venice.
Nothing beats home cooking pasta in a quiet place after a walk through the tourist roads. The place is far from the iconic building, it is relaxing on the terrace with sea views to eat. The menu is not long. But whatever we choose, it tastes very good. The service is friendly and the price meets the quality.
The restaurant was recommended to us. And rightly so. Modest interior design, which also adds to the charm. In summer with outdoor seating right by the water. The menu is clearly laid out on one page. Lots of fish. Please note that the daily price is charged for two fish dishes. This is also clearly indicated on the menu. Very attentive and friendly staff. The only downside: no dessert, but you can overlook that. The Trattoria San Basilio is a recommendation and we will gladly return.
This restaurant has a great view, looking out across to Guidecca, but isn’t a tourist trap. The menu is very simple with three starters, four pasta dishes and four fish dishes to choose from. Great to watch the evening creep in across the water.
What a lovely, warm and friendly welcome from this family-run restaurant where traditional and tasty Venetian fare is the order of the day. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this meal where the hosts ensured we felt at home and created a fun ambiance. Grazie bene ed arrivederci!
